The “experiential” travel trend is nothing new – sure, it’s been written about ad nauseum and seems only to be growing stronger.  As an intrepid traveler myself (Elephant Polo anyone?) its  evolution is what excites me.  Less white glove service and tiered access to more of designing an itinerary that becomes a personal travel story; crafting a trip that helps people explore the world in a way that is meaningful and personal to them.

Preferred Hotels & Resorts recently announced a rebranding meant to help travelers achieve the objectives for their trip (girlfriend getaway, anniversary, adventure, etc.) by matching them with the perfect hotel for the guest. Banyan Tree Mayakoba is now offering an Art of Romance quiz, where couples complete a questionnaire together, helping the romance concierge create an experience perfectly suited to their specific needs.
