The London food scene continues to amaze us. The new and different are always creating something to talk about – from authentic pie and mash to cutting-edge Michelin-starred magic and everything in-between. Pop Ups are still hot and the flexibility and variety they afford keeps the scene moving… fast. Here are a few of our favorites.

Serving the best of British produce from forests, seas & wilderness, Forest is inspired by Britain’s lust woodlands and has a menu that celebrates the best of spring. A must-try for visitors is the Welsh lamb, wild boar, foraged mushrooms and season fruit!

For those looking to make waves, head to the Pond Dalston – offering the must-try poke (pronounced poh-KEH). Poke is a Hawaiian cubed, raw fish served on a bed of rice, generally tossed in a soy sauce-based marinade. Mirroring Japanese sashimi or Peruvian ceviche, Pond’s poke offerings will have you dreaming of a tropical paradise in the middle of London.

We recently discovered the tastings of Kurt Zdesar’s newest restaurant, The Black Roe Poke Bar & Grill. In addition to a selection of poke dishes, guest can explore an array of sumptuous offerings like seafood, oysters and meats from the Kiawe wood grill. We recommend the Bison ribeye steak, fennel-tomato confit, topped with yuzu soy hollandaise.
