Happy New Year! As we all begin to settle down after a whirlwind holiday season and start to focus on our resolutions for 2014, I must take this opportunity to gush about my new fitness obsession and share a special little deal exclusively for my readers. Having received a Da Vinci BodyBoard a few weeks prior to Christmas, I spent far too many days walking past the package with a glass of spiked egg nog and a vow to start cracking the next day. Eventually, I set up the (super sleek) board, slipped on my workout gear, and decided to see what all the fuss is about.
The Da Vinci BodyBoard is a fabulous new fitness tool that uses opposing-tension bands to maintain constant resistance during exercise. The level of intensity a workout on this board provides is unreal — I've heard it said that a lady does not sweat but rather glistens — this board proves that theory to be utterly incorrect. I completed a full body workout within 20 minutes while switching between pilates, yoga and some Barre moves and also watched a video demo for a little inspiration.
The brainchild of former chocolatier and restaurateur Floery Mahoney, the company launched in June and is already receiving tons of press and requests for instructor certification. In fact, Lucille Roberts will be launching DaVinci BodyBoard classes at their 14th Street location next week for New Yorkers looking to grab 2014 by the horns.
As a special New Year's gift for Travel Curator readers and to help spur on the resolution fever, Da Vinci BodyBoard is offering a $50 discount off the board of your choice with the code travelcurator.
